Ready-to-wear clothing is pre-manufactured to standard sizes and sold in finished condition. It's different from made-to-measure and bespoke clothing, which are tailored to a specific person's body measurements.

 

AFRICAN FASHION 

African fashion is created using African wax or ankara printers, laces, woven asoke, mikado, sample fabrics, silk, tie & die adire, brocade, etc. It comes in a wide selection of styles, colors, textures, and materials. 

African fashion is popularly known for its opulent designs, bold colors, and large, intricate patterns. 

Historically, prints have always been the focus. These are rooted in tradition, harnessing original, native techniques in their curation, using local artisans.

Some examples of African fashion clothing includes; kaftan, dashiki, boubou, iro/bubba, kanzu, gomesi, kanga, safari, senator, madiba, etc.

Different tribes throughout the continent pride themselves on their national dress which they use for ceremonies and special occasions.
